start的用法

　　1.start在下列情況下常接不定式,不接動(dòng)名詞：

　　（ 1 ）主語(yǔ)是無生命的事物,而不是人時(shí).如：

　　The ice started to melt.冰開始融化了。

　�。� 2 ）當(dāng)start 用于進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài)時(shí).如：

　　The plaster was starting to fall from the walls.墻上的灰泥開始脫落了。

　�。� 3 ）當(dāng)start 后接表示心理狀態(tài)或精神活動(dòng)的動(dòng)詞時(shí)。如：

　　Mary started to guess what is in the bag.瑪麗開始猜包里有什么東西了。

　　2.具有及物動(dòng)詞詞性和不及物物動(dòng)詞詞性。如：

　　What time do you start school? 你是什么時(shí)候開始上學(xué)的?

　　3.start with 意為“從……開始”。如：

　　Which lesson shall I begin / start with? 我應(yīng)從哪一課開始?

　　4.start 為終止性動(dòng)詞,因此不能與段時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)連用。

　　1.表示（機(jī)器）開始、啟動(dòng)時(shí),用 start ,時(shí)此的 start 相當(dāng)于 set going

　　How do you start the washing machine?

　　洗衣機(jī)怎么啟動(dòng)?

　　2.表示創(chuàng)辦、開設(shè)時(shí),用 start ,此時(shí)的 start 相當(dāng)于 set up 或 establish

　　He started a new shop last year.

　　去年他新開了一家商店。

　　3.表示動(dòng)身、出發(fā)、啟程時(shí),用 start ,此時(shí)的 start 相當(dāng)于 set out 或 set off

　　He started for America last week.

　　他上周動(dòng)身去美國(guó)了。

　　4.表示開始使用時(shí),用 start ,此時(shí)的 start 相當(dāng)于 begin to use

　　You have used up this bottle of ink.Will you start another one?

　　你已用完了這瓶墨水,打算再用一瓶嗎?

　　5.表示驚動(dòng)、驚起時(shí),用 start ,此時(shí)的 start 相當(dāng)于 be started

　　She started at the sound of my voice. 她聽到我的聲音嚇了一跳。

　　6.表示提出問題時(shí),用 start ,此時(shí)的 start 相當(dāng)于 raise 或 put up .如：

　　John started a question at the meeting. 約翰在會(huì)上提出了一個(gè)問題。

　　7.表示懷孕（口語(yǔ)）時(shí),用 start ,此時(shí)的 start 相當(dāng)于 carry 或 be in a family way .如：

　　Linda has started a baby.琳達(dá)懷孕了。
