Developing Economy or Protecting Environment?
Some people hold that we should put developing the cconomy in the first place.Only by further balancing and developing our economy can we get rid of poverty and gain the overall development of the coun-try.Otherwise,many people,espccially in rural areas,may live in pov-erty and their children may drop out of school because they could not af-ford compulsory education.
On the other hand,many people insist that environmental protec-tion should be a top priority.They hold that it is the rapid and unrestrict-ed development of economy that leads to the present situation in which most parts of the world are polluted.If the problem is left unsolved,someday we may not survive on this planet,let alone develop our econ-omy.
In my opinion,both economy and environmental protection are our urgent tasks at hand.Without economic development,we would remain backward.And without environmental protection,we would lose our homes.It seems that the best solution is to develop environ-mental-protection-oriented enterprises so as to "kill two birds with one stone".

有些人認(rèn)為我們應(yīng)該首先發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)。只有進(jìn)一步協(xié)調(diào)經(jīng)濟(jì)的發(fā)展，我們才能消除貧困，實(shí)現(xiàn)總體發(fā)展的目標(biāo)。否則許多人，尤其是農(nóng)村人，可能會(huì)生活在貧困之中，小孩因支付不起費(fèi)用而輟學(xué)。
相反地，也有人主張優(yōu)先保護(hù)環(huán)境。他們的.觀點(diǎn)是，迅猛而且無限制的發(fā)展導(dǎo)致了現(xiàn)在世界上多數(shù)地方的污染問題。如果不解決問題，有朝一日我們將失去生存的空間，還談什么發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)。
我認(rèn)為發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)和保護(hù)環(huán)境都是我們的當(dāng)務(wù)之急。不發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)，我們會(huì)落后;不保護(hù)環(huán)境，我們會(huì)喪失家園。 似乎最好的策略是建設(shè)保護(hù)環(huán)境為導(dǎo)向的企業(yè)，發(fā)展與保護(hù)并舉。
